3 Stage Float Technology
Battery Charging Has Become a Science

All Matson "Battery Tender" chargers operate using 3-stage "SuperSmart"
technology. Quite simple, they take a battery to full charge status, indicated
by the red LED(s), and then switch to a float mode indicated by the green
LED.
Utilizing full IC technology, the voltage and current draw are continually
monitored responding to the charge status of each individual battery. In
the float mode, milliamp input holds the charging level safely below the gassing
point of the battery ensuring batteries are never over charged.
Bottom line is - you can leave the charger plugged in all day, all month,
all year without overcharging batteries.
| 3-Stage Graph - Current |
| 1. Bulk Charge |
2. Absorption Charge |
3. Float Charge |
Recovers battery to 75% charge rapidly through constant amperage input.
|
Current decreases as battery charge status increases. Charger switches to float when battery is drawing only 0.5 amps.
|
Current is regulated and held below gassing point. Current input is held at milliamps.

Voltage is held constant. Current decreases as battery charge status increases. Charger switches to float when battery is drawing only 0.5 amps.
